Cutting campaign data logging from hours to minutes
A simple transformation layer made creator campaign data consistent before it reached reporting.
- Role
- Influencer marketing specialist
- Focus
- Data hygiene and campaign operations
- Outcome
- 2 to 3 hours a day down to about 15 minutes
Campaign activity came from in-house creator work and agency reports across several markets. Dates, creator details, execution notes, and results were logged in different formats. Specialists spent hours transferring and cleaning that information before the dashboard could use it. The manual work also created room for clerical errors.
What I did
A practical way through the constraint
- 01
Map the repeated fields
I identified the fields the dashboard needed and the common inconsistencies in agency and in-house inputs.
- 02
Build the transformation into the template
I created a spreadsheet with formulas that normalised incoming data into one usable structure.
- 03
Make the source easier to use
Instead of asking specialists to clean data after the fact, the template handled the repetitive conversion while they logged the source information.
Result
What changed
Daily logging and data-hygiene work dropped from roughly two or three hours to about 15 minutes. The dashboard received more consistent data, and the team spent less time correcting manual entry mistakes.
Organisation, data fields, and reporting setup are withheld. Timings are presented as operational ranges.
